Opportunity Finance Network (OFN) is a trusted intermediary between Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) and public and private sector partners – foundations, corporates, banks, government agencies, and others. When they were in need of a new website design, All Around Creative's proposal stood out among the RFP responses. We created a fresh, clean look by utilizing existing brand colors with a bold new palette and a blend of high-quality photographs of real people who've worked with OFN. Now, their website represents who they are, who they work with, and makes it easier than ever for new users to find what they need.
The AAC team started with a full analysis of the existing site and created a number of user personas to better define the needs and interests of OFN’s different audiences. From there, we created a sitemap and the content strategy for a personalized path through the site for each of the personas. After creating the new sitemap that would speak to each persona and user journey, we were ready to get started with the website. Our goal was to create a fluent experience for both desktop and mobile that would inform users of everything OFN has to offer in an engaging way.
We built a modern site with a fresh design that introduced the new branding we developed. We leaned heavily on highlighting the personal relationships the organization has built over the years, and how they’ve created economic opportunities for people and places traditional finance doesn’t reach.
The build also included integrating Salesforce with the front and back end of the website to create a CDFI Locator resource for OFN. This CDFI Locator allows users to learn about the work member CDFIs are doing in different lending areas and regions of the country.
OFN’s redesigned website has been a huge success, offering their current and new audiences a more engaging user experience. AAC’s work was recognized by the 2022 Davey Awards, bringing home a Gold award for General Activism, and a Silver award for Website Redesign. We are extremely proud of the work we were able to accomplish, and grateful to have an amazing partner in OFN.
